ILION/FRANKFORT: Francis Joseph (Bossy) Latreille, age 88, of Ilion, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Valley Health Services. Francis was born on June 8, 1923 in Herkimer, the son of the late Joseph and Ida (Boss) Latreille and he attended Mohawk Schools. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army. On November 28, 1987, he was united in marriage to Mary Prole Troum of Schenectady in Herkimer, NY. Francis was employed at Bendix Corporation of Utica and MDS of Herkimer, working 18 years in both places. He also worked for the Office of the Aging delivering Meals on Wheels. He was last employed by Little Falls Hospital in the housekeeping department for 10 years. Bossy was a member of the Ilion Moose Lodge, Frankfort American Legion, Frankfort Young at Hearts Senior Citizens and Schuyler Senior Citizens. He was of Methodist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Mary; stepson, Steven Troum; grandchildren, Steven, Nickie, Tori all of California and his feline friend Falcon. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph in 1925 and his mother, Ida in 1985. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home (Harry, Kevin, & Daniel Enea, Directors) 4309 Acme Rd., Frankfort-Ilion, (315) 894-8000. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. V.
