FRANKFORT: Shirley J. Tripple Holmes, age 80, a long time Frankfort resident, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital, New Hartford, NY. She was born in Utica, NY on April 12, 1931, the daughter of the late Bertrum and Zeta (Prentice) Coe. She was educated in Whitesboro Schools and was employed as a sales associate for Eckerd's Drugs in Ilion, NY. Shirley was first married to Anthony Tripple and he passed away in 1964. She later married Robert Holmes who passed away in 1989. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Church in Frankfort and also, the Ilion American Legion Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and shopping the QVC network. Throughout her life, she displayed great pride and happiness for her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Daniel Tripple and wife M'less of California, John Tripple and wife Robin of Frankfort, Debra Burns of Frankfort, Tracy Baird and husband Jim of Rochester; sisters, Jane Paciello and husband Roger of Utica, Ruth Scalise and husband Nick of Clinton; grandchildren, Victoria Tripple, Tristina Rodriguez and husband Jose, John Tripple, Anthony Tripple and wife Jenna, Chelsea Tripple, Dina Fernalld and husband Bucky, John Burns, Katie Burns and Greg Knapp, Nicholas and Jenna Baird; great grandchildren, Adrianna, Carmella, Tiffany, Kadence and Carter; several nieces, nephews and cousins; including special nieces, Linda Roberts and Rosie Zennamo and a special sister-in-law, Helen Tripple and family. She was predeceased by brothers, Glenn and Robert Coe. Services will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours.
