Obituary of Mildred Spine

LITTLE FALLS: Mildred Spine, age 91, a lifetime Little Falls resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at home, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Little Falls on July 24, 1920, the daughter of the late Frank and Amelia (LeDuc) Andrilla. Mildred was educated in Little Falls Schools and at one time worked for Salada Foods and F.W. Woolworth Company of Little Falls. She was united in marriage to Rocco Spine on January 1, 1946 in St. Joseph's Church in Little Falls. Mr. Spine passed away on March 12, 1999. Mildred was a member of Holy Family Parish and a life member of the Little Falls American Legion Auxiliary. Her great enjoyments were playing bingo and going to the casino. She loved cooking and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren (her little sweethearts). She is survived by her children, Philip Spine of Little Falls; Lorraine Smith and husband Richard of Little Falls; a sister, Betty Ullman of Little Falls; grandchildren, Richard (Rick) Smith and wife Jennifer, Tracy Petkovsek and husband Luke; great grandchildren, Samantha and Claire Petkovsek, Rikki Smith and Alexis Kraszewski; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Raymond and Bernard Andrilla and sisters, Thelma Eckard, Jane McEwen and Mary Luciano. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated by Father Thomas Lawless, Pastor on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. There are no public calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home (Harry, Kevin & Daniel Enea-Directors), 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY. In lieu of floral offerings, donations can be made in Mildred's memory to Hospice and Palliative Care. Envelopes will be available at the church.
