Obituary of Dorothy Willman

EAST HERKIMER: Dorothy Willman, age 99, a longtime East Herkimer resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Valley Health Services. She was born October 8, 1912 in Washington Mills, NY, the daughter of the late Fred and Mable (Magadieu) Markie. Dorothy was a graduate of Little Falls Senior High School and also the Utica School of Commerce. On April 27, 1946, she was united in marriage to Earl W. Willman with whom she shared a loving marriage of 50 years until his passing on November 24, 1996. Dorothy held employment with Little Falls National Fibres. As a loving and very family oriented grandmother, aunt, cousin and special friend, she enjoyed a special bond with her family and friends, showing them the gracious gift of hospitality. A nurturer by nature, she shared her heart with all her loved ones and was a genuine matriarch of her family. She loved her garden, her home and her door was open to all. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Little Falls. Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren, Richard Paul Sidoran of Houston, TX, Dana Earl Sidoran and his wife Rayleen of Binghamton, NY; great grandchildren, Michelle Sidoran, Kristin Sidoran, Eric Sidoran and wife Olga, Ashley Hayden, Allison Sidoran; great great-grandchildren, Joshua Paul Sidoran and Katelyn Rose Sidoran; special nieces and nephews, Sarah Green, Elizabeth Buckbee, Janet Coholan, Joan Olney, Jim Willman, Bill Willman, Bonnie and husband Ron Lasowski, Evelyn Wilkes and husband Rob, Bob Willman, Bill Coffin; special cousins, Evelyn and Mike Dowd, Kate Murray and Donald Magadieu. She also leaves special friends, Lois and Gere VanAllen, Alice Silvernail and Erma Voorhees. Dorothy was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Alice Jean Sidoran and Attorney Paul Sidoran; a grandson, Kevin Sidoran and a cousin, Helene Prentice. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home (Harry, Kevin and Daniel Enea-Directors), 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls. Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend Dorothy's funeral service which will commence on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Albany Street, Little Falls with The Rev. Dr. Steven Scarcia, Rector officiating. Procession will then follow to Rural Park Cemetery, Ingham Mills where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
