Mrs. Cornelia M. Howard 89 of 16 Timmerman Street Dolgeville died Tuesday November 22, 2011 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident on November 17th. Connie was born in Salisbury on July 13, 1922 the daughter of Fred A. and Irene (Sweet) Ives and was a graduate of Dolgeville High school, class of 1940. She continued her education by graduating from Rider College in Trenton, New Jersey. Her marriage to Edward W. Howard took place on September 17, 1949 in the Universalist Church in Dolgeville. Mr. Howard predeceased her on May 31, 2006. Connie was a legal secretary first working for the Veteran's Administration in Washington, D.C., during the war. Later she was employed by the law offices of Blumberg and Conley of Little Falls, Atty. Joseph A. Santry of Little Falls and prior to her retirement in 1986 she was working at the law office for Atty. Francis T. Cuda in Dolgeville. She is survived by a son and his wife Edward C. and Lisa Howard of Fonda, NY, A Sister Miss Helen Ives of Salisbury, a Grandson Kyle Howard of Johnstown, a Nephew Fred Ives of Salisbury, 2 Great Nieces Heather and Shannon. Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 27th from 1-4 PM at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. PRIVATE services will be held on Monday November 28, 2011 at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Salisbury Rural Cemetery, town of Salisbury. Memorials may be sent to the Salisbury Fire Department in her memory.
