Obituary of Ethel Capece

FORT PLAIN/ ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mrs. Ethel Capece, 91, of River Rd. passed away peacefully on November 27, 2011 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville with her loving family at her side. She was born on August 3, 1920, in Ilion, daughter of the late John and Edna ( Saxon ) Bala. On June 15, 1937 she was united in marriage with Victor Capece. Their loving union lasted 38 years until his passing in 1975. Ethel was a welder at HP Snyder's in Little Falls and was also employed at Felt Shoes. Survivors include her sons: Victor Capece Jr. and his wife Esther of St. Johnsville and Richard Capece and his wife Joan of Fort Plain; her brother Harold Bala and his wife Grace of Florida; her sister Jean St. Mary and her husband Sam of Ilion; her grandchildren: Victor Capece III and his wife Glenna, Nade Hart and her husband Rodney, Kevin Capece and his wife Joann, Karmen Capece, Kristopher Capece and his wife Connie and Richard CapeceJr., and his girlfriend Holly; her great grandchildren: Amber Clark, Colin Hart, Jeremy Capece, Jesslin Capece, Jacob Hisert and Jana Coons. She was predeceased by her brother James Bala, her sister Pearl Waller and her great grandson Raymond Hart who passed away on November 27, 2007. In keeping with Ethel's wishes there are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held for the family at 11am on Monday, December 5, 2011 at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Victor. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Ethel's name be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville.
