Obituary of Hank Boevree

SAINT JOHNSVILLE- Mr, Hank Boevree, 65, of Lasselsville Rd. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 12, 2011 at home with his loving wife Rosemary by his side. Hank was born on July 15, 1946 in Velp (Gelderland), Holland. He was the son of Jan and Christiana (Hofman) Boevree. Hank came to America at the age of 9 and became a naturalized citizen . He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1969 and was in the Vietnam War for 13 months. On August 16, 1999 he was united in marriage with Rosemary Jimenez. He and "Rosie", as he called her, were very close and gave up good jobs for the opportunity to work together running a boy's group home for several years. They enjoyed working together and were proud of making a difference in the lives of 15-18 year old youths. The boys made great strides and positive changes while with Hank and Rosemary. Hank is survived by his loving wife Rosemary; his three daughters: Mona, Johanna and Sandra Boevree; his stepdaughter Julianne E. Miranda; his three grandchildren: Alaina Boevree, Jordan Miranda and Isabella Chutino; his brothers Chris Boevree and his wife Donna of California and Henk Verhaaf and his wife Ine of Rheden (Gelderland), Netherlands; his father in law Oscar Jimenez; his sister in law Wanda Stein and her husband Carl: his brother in law: David Jimenez and his wife Lisa ; his nephews David Stein and his wife Brittainy; David Paul Jimenez, his nieces Teresa Martinez and her husband Marc, Crystal Chapman and her husband Adam, Tiffany Aceituno and her husband Ryan, Brittney Alexander and her husband James and Kayla Jimenez,close friends: Caleb Taylor and his wife Alisha and Steven and Robin Gage and two special boys that came into their lives: Brian Depew and Cody Burton. He was predeceased by his parents: Jan and Christiana Boevree and his daughter Lauren Boevree. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5-9pm on Thursday. December 15, 2011 at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. ( 518-568-2300) A religious service will be held at 10am on Friday, December 16, 2011 at the funeral home. Procession will follow to Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. Military honors will be offered by the U.S. Army.
