Obituary of Rose C Noble

LITTLE FALLS: Rose C. Noble, age 93, a long time Little Falls resident, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Home in Lockport, NY. Born in Staten Island, NY on November 28, 1918, Rose was the daughter of the late Herman and Wilhelmine (Endress) Callenius. She was educated in Saratoga Schools and on January 27, 1946 she was united in marriage to James Noble in the Methodist Church in Middle Grove, NY. James passed away on June 14, 1986. Rose worked for many years at the Salada Food Company in Little Falls. She will be remembered for her baking and knitting. She enjoyed reading and community service. Rose was a very active member in Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Little Falls, the Little Falls WCA, and was honored by the Little Falls Women's Christian Association for her years of outstanding service to the community. Rose is survived by her daughters, Carol (Peter) Lenahan of New Windsor, NY, Barbara (Peter) Gentile of Lockport, NY; her grandchildren, Stefanie Noble Plessas, Rebecca Noble, Joe Lenahan, Scott Lenahan, Peter Gentile, Andrew Gentile; nine great grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Karen Noble. She was predeceased by her son, Robert A. Noble and sisters, Ruth C. Price and Helen M. Callenius. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls (315) 823-2424. Those wishing to express an act of kindness may make a donation to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls in lieu of floral arrangements. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Rose's funeral service which will commence on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the chapel of the funeral home and 10:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Albany Street, Little Falls with The Rev. Dr. Steven Scarcia, Rector officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Little Falls, NY. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Harry J. Enea, Funeral Director.
