HERKIMER: Cynthia M. (Cyndi) Perry, age 48, a lifelong Herkimer resident, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Siegenthaler Center with the love and support of her family. Cyndi was born in Herkimer on October 31, 1963, the daughter of the late Gloria (Perkett) Perry. She was a graduate of Herkimer High School and was employed for many years for the Slocum Dickson Medical Group as a receptionist. As a loving and very family-oriented person, spending time with her friends, daughter and grandson was most important to her. Cyndi is survived by a daughter, Danielle Perry and fiancé Richard Kast of Herkimer; her sisters, Rebecca DeForrest and fiancé Les Hosler of Mohawk, Patricia Janes and husband Dale of Herkimer, Marcia Crossett of Herkimer, Pamela Klayer of Ohio, MariLeigh Filipczuk and husband John of Herkimer; a brother, Albert D. Perry of Herkimer; a grandson, Adam Kast; a special god daughter and niece, Allison DeForrest; a special niece, Amanda Merganthaler; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the 6th floor nursing staff at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare and the nursing staff at the Slocum Dickson Oncology Department for the care and compassion shown to Cyndi during her illness. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street, Herkimer, NY (315)866-1011. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Cyndi's funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the funeral home with Reverend Thomas Lawless, officiating.
