Stella was born in Herkimer on February 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Zenon and Mary (Kiewlicz) Dawidowicz. She was raised and educated in Herkimer. On June 26, 1943 she wed Frank H. She also worked for her family business, the Southside Market, which was located at 305 King Street, Herkimer. In her leisure time, she pursued sewing and crafts. She was devoted to her patron Saint Joseph and was a member of St. Joseph's Parish of Herkimer. Stella was also a member of the Mohawk Legion Auxiliary. Stella is survived by her beloved husband, Frank; her son, Frank E. Roe and wife Deborah of Mohawk; her daughters, Lynda L. Brown of Rome, Donna Oliver and husband Mike of Kentucky; her grandchildren, Russell Brown, Jr., Kellyne Brown and husband Hugh Jarvis, Keith Martin, Frank Roe, Jr., Francis Roe, Daniel Davis, Brandi Davis, Jennifer Weisser and husband Fred, Kari Roe; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Balderston of Little Falls; in-laws, Mary, Sue, Sharon and Loraine Dawidowicz, Micky Dawson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Gary D. Roe; her brothers, John, Stanley, Edmund, Henry, Ernie, Walter and Edwin Dawidowicz and her sisters, Ida House, Irene Davidowicz and Charlotte Serban.
