Little Falls: Jane Guiney, age 95, of Overlook Road, Little Falls, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Michaud Residential Health Services in Fulton, NY. Jane was born on January 22, 1914 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Dennis and Esther (Walker) Guiney. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Little Falls; then attended and graduated in 1937 from the University of the State of NY/State Normal School in Plattsburg, with a four year degree in elementary education. She was employed for many years as a kindergarten teacher at Greenwich Elementary School in Greenwich, NY. Also, at one time, she taught kindergarten at St. Mary’s Academy in Little Falls. She was member of Holy Family Parish in Little Falls, and the New York State Teachers Association. Jane is survived by her niece, Mary Catherine Bergene and her husband Theodore of Oswego; a nephew, Dennis Guiney of Lake Worth, FL; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews; and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers: Edward, Robert, and William Guiney; and a nephew, Patrick Guiney. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 5-7 pm at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls (823-2424). Jane’s funeral will commence at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 17, 2009 with prayer at the funeral home, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls.
