LITTLE FALLS-Mrs. Anne L. (Beran) Stegich, of Stegich Road, Mohawk (town of Little Falls), passed away on Thursday evening, Dec. 17, 2009 peacefully in Mohawk Valley Healthcare Center, Ilion. She was born in Herkimer, a daughter of the late Anton and Susan (Bachorik) Beran and educated in Herkimer schools. She was united in marriage with John J. Stegich on August 31, 1934. He passed away on May 21, 1962. She was last employed with Salada Foods, Little Falls for 11 years, retiring in 1980. Mrs. Stegich was a member of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Survivors include a son: James Stegich and wife Sandra of Little Falls; a daughter: Renee Jones and husband Willard of Herkimer; a brother: Daniel Beran and wife Carolyn of Ilion; three sisters in law: Jenny Domina, Violet O’Connell and husband Donald and Mary Beran; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, John Stegich, Jr.; a daughter: Sandra King; by a brother: Frank Beran; and by three sisters: Lydia Pointing, Mary Latreille and Helen Latella. Calling hours will be on Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 3-5 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. Mrs. Stegich’s funeral will commence at 11:00 am on Monday, Dec. 21st from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered by Father Thomas Vail.
