MOHAWK-Daniel Christman, 49, (01/03/1960 - 12/30/09), passed away unexpextedly at his home in Manion Heights, Mohawk, NY. He is survived by his two sons, Jay Christman, 29, and Justin Christman, 24. He also leaves his Grandson, Ayden Cellers, 6, his best friend, James barnett, his girlfriend, Deb Lockner, who loves him with all her heart and he was always there for her, and his many, many friends who were family. There will be a celebration of his life at the American Legion Hall, West Main Street, Mohawk, NY, on Wednesday, 01/06/2010, from 4 to 10 p.m. This is not a funeral, but, a celebration of this man's life. Jeans and your cleanest dirty shirt are acceptable. Just be comfortable. This wonderful Dad, Grand Dad, and friend overcame the many obstacles in his life and has spent the last 20+ years giving of himself to others and disabled youth and their families. It was my, Clifton H. Franklin II's, great honor to have worked with him with "Youth at Risk" through Family Services of the Mohawk Valley advocating for children, youths, and their families making certain they were not discriminated against in any way and connecting them with the services they needed to succeed. This man gave freely of himself asking nothing in return. His greatest pleasures in life were his sons, grandson, and the knowledge that he had helped so many to get the education and skills they needed to lead a normal, productive life. He is now and forever will be missed by his family and multitude of friends. His life is his legacy. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N.
