Obituary of Roger L Hall

HERKIMER-Following a long, courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday afternoon, February 23, 2010, Roger L. Hall age 56, succumbed to cancer surrounded by his beloved family in the comfort of his home on King Street. Roger was born on May 16, 1953 in Ilion, son of Roland Hall of Newport and the late Beverly (Corbielle) Hall and was educated in West Canada schools. He was united in marriage with Dianna Kosinski on June 10, 1972 a loving and devoted union of 37 years. Roger was an accomplished taxidermist holding this career close to his heart. He was always there for his family and battled his illness with courage and dignity. Throughout the years he took pleasure in being outdoors and hunting especially with his brother and hunting buddy, Richard. Roger was also passionate about working on classic cars. His family will cherish the memories that they created with him and he will be sadly missed. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Dianna of Herkimer; his father, Roland Hall and wife Donna of Newport; a daughter: Beverly Hall of Middleville; his cherished grandchildren: Tabitha Thompson and Samantha Hall; his adored great granddaughter: Kaylie-Ann Thompson; ten brothers and sisters: Roland Hall, Jr. and wife Linda of Ilion, Betty Wlezien and husband John of Colorado, Susan Usher and husband Roderick of Frankfort, JoAnn Harding and husband Rick of Lee Ctr., Ronald Hall and wife Donna of Newport, Debra Bennett of Westmoreland, Mary Hall of Mohawk, Richard Hall of Newport, Tim Hall and his partner Kevin of Daytona Beach, Fl., and Barbara Bass and Bernard of Herkimer; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and two aunts. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 5-7 p.m at Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer and invited to his funeral service commencing at 7 p.m. also on Friday evening. Roger will be laid to rest later in the spring with his mother, Beverly in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who provided care to Roger during his illness and who also provided comfort to our family including the doctors, nurses and staff at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown and also to the nurses of Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. Also, we thank the Enea Family Funeral Home and Daniel Enea for their assistance in creating a final tribute for our beloved Roger.
