Obituary of Wesley Dibble

FORT PLAIN-Mr. Wesley W. “Wes” Dibble, 61 of River Road, Fort Plain passed away on Wednesday morning November 25, 2009 peacefully in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown following an extended illness. At the time of his passing he had the love and comfort of his family by his side. He was born on January 27, 1948 in Cobleskill, son of the late Floyd and Marcia (Borest) Dibble. He was united in marriage with Rosemarie Muche on November 18, 1969 in Wuerzburg, Germany together enjoying a blessed union of 40 years. Mr. Dibble was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army; he was honorably discharged in January of 1970. Work was Mr. Dibble’s passion and began Dibble Construction Company in 1972, actively serving the construction needs of many customers throughout Montgomery, Herkimer and Fulton Counties. Wes always put the needs of his family before his own and treasured the times he spent in the company of his cherished grandchildren who have very fond memories of him. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his loving family; his wife: Rosemarie of Fort Plain; a son: Michael Dibble of Little Falls; his daughters: Marion Walker and husband Dan of Whitesboro and Melissa Dibble of Fort Plain; two siblings: Lloyd Dibble of Canajoharie and Mary Ann Butler and husband Tom of Johnstown; his grandchildren: Christopher Pierce, Danielle Walker, Marisa Walker, Gavin Jacob Dibble and Anna Jane Dibble; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings: Virginia Hodge and Sylvia Morey. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. Mr. Dibble’s funeral will commence at 11 am on Saturday, Nov. 28th from the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth E. Dingman, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Fort Plain officiating. Procession will follow to West St. Johnsville Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The family is being served by funeral director, Daniel J. Enea. The family would like to offer their gratitude to the St. Johnsville Fire/Ambulance Department for their professionalism and compassion.
