Obituary of Emery Oeser

ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mr. Emery “Bummy” Oeser, of S.Division St. entered into eternal rest on Saturday January 16,2010 at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with his loving family at his side. He was born on October 27,1933 in St. Johnsville, son of the late Albert and Marie (Jacchia) Oeser. He proudly served his country in the Korean War. Bummy enjoyed growing up on the farm, going to the Locker Room to visit with his friends, his truck and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Bummy is survived by his daughters: Kim Snell and her husband Robert of St. Johnsville, Jackie Hull and her husband Rob of Lake George, Jamie VanAuken and her special friend Korey of Fort Plain, Patty Smith of Canajoharie, Debra Dufresne and her husband Keith of Charleston Four Corners; his sons James Oeser and his wife Eileen of Canajoharie, Frederick Oeser of Massachusetts; his brother Jack Oeser; his sisters Bertha Myers and Christina Hayes, his 21 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and his nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his brothers Albert and Henry Oeser; his sister Margaret Rappa; his half brother Bert Oeser and his grandsons Justin Snell and Thomas Oeser. Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday January 19,2010 from 4-7pm at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Saint Johnsville. A religious service will be held immediately following the calling hours at 7pm with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions in Bummy’s name to the St.Johnsville American Legion or to the Fort Plain VFW.
