Obituary of Kevin Bartlow

HERKIMER-Kevin M. Bartlow, 57, of Johnson Avenue, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2009 in his home. At the time of his passing, he had the love and comfort of his HARC family at his side. Kevin was born on October 25, 1951 in Binghamton, son of Jack A. Bartlow and the Margaret E. (Swingle) Bartlow. Among the many hobbies that Kevin had, one of his favorites was watching World Wrestling Entertainment. A man of many admirable qualities, Kevin possessed a great strength of character, a kind and thoughtful nature and a gracious manner, sharing these traits throughout his life with all of his loved ones, especially those at the HARC home on Johnson Avenue in Herkimer. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Survivors include his father: Jack A. Bartlow of Virginia; two brothers: John A. Bartlow and wife Libby of Rochester and Timothy Bartlow of North Carolina; three sisters: Elizabeth Seeley and husband David, Janice Bartlow both of Florida, and Peggy Anne McCraken of Virginia; many nieces, nephews, cousins and all of his extended family at HARC. He was predeceased by his mother Margaret Swingle in the summer of 2008. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, 866-1011, from 12-2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Kevin’s funeral will commence at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with his brother, John A. Bartlow, offering prayer. Kevin will be laid to rest in the spring at a time to be announced in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer.
