Obituary of Howard Carpenter

Mr. Howard Carpenter Jr. 75 of 942 Military Road Little Falls, Town of Salisbury, died Sunday August 9, 2009 at his residence with the love and support of his family at his side. Howard was born in Oppenheim on June 17, 1934 the son of Howard and Carrie (Gray) Carpenter and educated in area schools. His marriage to Julia A. Flint took place on November 29, 1952 in the Methodist Church in Fort Plain. Throughout his working years Howard was employed by these area companies, The Allegro Shoe Company, Adirondack bat Company and he retired from the Gerhing Tricot Company of Dolgeville. Howard is remembered by his family as a man who like to tinker on most anything, but especially on cars. He is survived by his wife Julia of 56 Years, his sons Howard E. carpenter, Joseph Carpenter and Ronald Carpenter all of Salisbury, his daughters Lorraine Carpenter and Ann Carpenter also of Salisbury, a Sister Lois Ripley of Little Falls, and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 PM at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Pastor Rodney Congdon will officiate. Burial will follow in the Salisbury Rural Cemetery. Calling hours are Today Tuesday from 5-7 PM.
