EPHRATAH-Mrs. Frances (Clemons) Cool, 96 a lifelong town of Ephratah resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at her residence. She was born on May 9, 1912, daughter of the late Fred and Hattie (DeNure) Clemons and educated in Oppenheim schools. She married Kenneth Cool on June 13, 1931 in Oppenheim. He passed away in 2006 after a devoted union of 75 years. Frances was last employed as payroll clerk with Johnstown Knit, retiring in 1982 after numerous years of service. Survivors include her daughter: Patricia Johnson of Lassellsville; her grandchildren: Ken Haak and wife Margo of Montana, Sheryl Urse and husband Carl of St. Johnsville, Denise Sherman of Lassellsville, Doreen Boyer of Congers, NY, Jeny Rockwell and husband David of Edinburg, Frances Snell of Florida, Kim Chambers and husband Scott of Unadilla, Glenda Looman and husband James of St. Johnsville, Toni Snell of St. Johnsville, and an honorary granddaughter: Doreen Wells of Scotch Bush; eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Audrey Snell in 1970, her son in law, Richard A. Johnson on May 13, 2008 and by many siblings. Services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 3 pm at the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 E. Faville Ave., Dolgeville with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams, pastor of Scotch Bush Free Methodist Church, St. Johnsville officiating. There are no calling hours. She will be laid to rest at a later date in Michaels Cemetery, town of Ephratah.
