Obituary of Lena Danna

ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mrs. Lena Danna, 94, of Mill Rd entered into eternal rest peacefully on May 2, 2009 at Wells House, Johnstown with her family by her side. She was born November 17, 1914 in Frankfort, daughter of the late Charles and Giovanna ( Marchese) Campione. On October 26, 1940 she was united in marriage with Frank P. Danna. For many years Lena was a store keeper at Francesco's Market in St. Johnsville. She loved to cook and was especially known for her many Italian dishes. She also loved to make desserts. She loved to visit with her family and friends and was always quick to lend a hand in any way possible. One of her favorite hobbies was to crochet afghans, many of which she would give away. She was an active communicant at St. Patrick's Church. She was also active in the Rosary Society at St. Patrick's Church. Lena loved her church and held strong to her belief in God. Survivors include her son Frank C. Danna and his wife Sabrina of Sturbridge, Massachusetts; her grandchildren Addison, Garrett and Kendall all residing in Sturbridge, MA, many nieces and nephews; all of whom she loved very much. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Giovanna; her husband of 49 years Frank and her siblings James Campione, Samuel Campione, Mary Woroby, Anna Francisco and Joseph Campione. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday May 4, 2009 from 4-7pm at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Saint Johnsville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Patricks R.C. Church 10am Tuesday. Procession will follow to St. Johnsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to Wells House or to St. Patrick's Altar Rosary Society. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
