ILION-FRANKFORT - John “Jack” H. Earle, age 75, formerly of Ilion and Frankfort, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion, where he had been a recent resident. He was born on March 16, 1933, in Ilion, the son of Willard and Demas (Tassovac) Earle. Jack attended Frankfort schools and Mohawk Valley Community College. He was employed as an electronics teacher at MVCC, Utica, for 18 years. Survivors include his son, John Earle and Fabiola Zambrano of Kodak, Tenn.; his daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Dale Dickson of Alaska, Demas and Mike George of Little Falls; three grandchildren, Michael and Andrew George, Joanna Dickson; his great-grandson, Michael George Jr. and close cousin, David Richardson of Ilion. Jack’s memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, pastor of Ilion United Methodist Church, Ilion, officiating. Spring interment will be in Oak View Cemetery, Frankfort. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
