ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mrs. Lila T. George, 83 entered into eternal rest on August 11, 2009 at Van Allen Nursing Home. She was born on August 14, 1925 in Glen, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche (Rose) Tastle. On June 4, 1948 she was united in marriage with Ralph George. The couple recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. Lila was an excellent cook and an excellent seamstress. Being a homemaker, a Mother and a Wife was her life. Survivors include her beloved husband Ralph, her 4 daughters: Cynthia Nagele and her husband Karl of St. Johnsville, Reggie Manikas and her husband Tony of St. Johnsville, Diane Ousley and her husband Chris of Tennessee and Stacy Bubb of Little Falls; her 8 grandchildren; Tiffany Sen, Taiya Armer, Kyle Manikas, Aaron Manikas, Ryan Manikas, Joshua Bubb, Ciara Bubb and Jordan Cool, her 6 great grandchildren and one niece. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Saint Johnsville from 1:30pm-3 pm on Saturday August 15, 2009. Interment will immediately follow at St. Johnsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Margaret Reaney Memorial Library, 19 Kingsbury Ave. St. Johnsville, NY 13452 in Lila’s name.
