Obituary of Jacqueline Grassel

NELLISTON- Jacqueline R. Grassel, 57 of Stone Arabia St, entered into eternal rest at her home on September 19,2009. She was born on Staten Island , New York on July 17, 1952, daughter of the late Paul and Cynthia ( Davison) Galletta. Jacqueline and her husband Stanley shared 35 happy and blessed years together. Jacqueline’s first and foremost priority in lfe was her family. They were her life. She was an EMT, a volunteer for Mid County Ambulance, and a Health Aide at Palatine Nursing Home. She graduated from BOCES with a degree in Horticulture in 1992. She loved helping anybody and everybody. She loved flowers especially making floral arrangements. Survivors include her beloved husband Stanley; her daughters Justina Abeling and her husband Brandall of Fort Plain, Theresa Liebing and her husband Daniel of Fort Plain, Francesca Gallt and her husband Wayne of Nelliston, Joycelyn Grassel and her companion Michael Martz of Nelliston; her son Matthew Grassel and his wife Jennifer of Lake Pleasant, her sisters Jill Rapacciuolo and her husband Ernie of Florida, Joycelyn Galletta of Florida, Janella Nugent and her husband Walter of St. Johnsville, Jewel Anderson of Idaho,; her brothers Jeffrey Galletta of Staten Island, Paul Galletta of Staten Island, Judd Galletta and his wife Judy of Staten Island, Jay Galletta of St. Johnsville, her 23 grandchildren: Christine, Justin, Alexandria, Evan, Brittany, Austin, Alexis, Brandall Jr., Ashlin, Ethan, Haley, Kiley, Jacen, Paul, Jayden, Kaleb, Joseph, Daphene, Derek, Lucy, Binx and Riker; her sister in laws Pat Gray and her husband Danny, Edna Green, Rosemary Atkinson, Jean Hicks, Joanne Baker, her dear friends Anne Volpe, Louise and Warren Milkyo, Margaret Spiak, her nieces, nephews , cousins and many, many friends. She is predeceased by her 2 sisters Francesca and Jennifer and her in-laws Stanley and Harriet Grassel. Memorial visitation will be from 11:30am - 2:30 pm on Saturday September 26, 2009 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Saint Johnsville, Procession will follow to West St. Johnsville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved parents. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Mid County Volunteer Ambulance of Palatine Bridge. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
