Obituary of Charles Green

DOLGEVILLE- Mr. Charles E. Green,75, of Dutchtown Rd. entered into eternal rest on March 25, 2009 at Little Falls Hospital. He was born on August 25, 1933 in Salisbury, son of the late Elmer J. and Edna Mae (Foster) Green. Charles faithfully served his country in the Korean War and the Vietnam War as a proud member of the United States Air Force. On April 3, 1971 he was joined in marriage with Sandra Carpenter in Plattsburgh, NY. Charles first and foremost priority in life was his family; especially his children and grandchildren. He was always smiling and was always there when anyone needed something. Survivors include his beloved family; his wife Sandra; his son Benedict John Green of Mohawk, his daughter Brandy Stack and her husband Joe of Dolgeville; his grandchildren Gregory Manchester and Hannah Stack; and Christopher and Austin Green and their mother Petra Green;his sisters Nadine Johnson and her husband Chris of Dolgeville and Isabelle Solicka of Ilion and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers: Edwin Vedder, Ernest Vedder, Harry Green, Raymond Green, Norman Vedder, George Vedder; his sisters Betsy Green, Jessie Carpenter, Martha Green and Marion Rumrill. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 E. Faville Ave. Dolgeville, NY on Saturday April 4, 2009 from 1-3pm. There will be a gathering at the Dolgeville Fire House immediately after the calling hours. Interment of cremains will take place on April 25, 2009 at 1pm at Dibble Tuttle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either the Dolgeville Volunteer Fire Dept, S&S Volunteer Ambulance or to Faxton-St. Luke Cancer Center.
