Obituary of Elizabeth Levonski

DOLGEVILLE-Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” (Zilkowski) Levonski, of East Aurora, and formerly of Dolgeville and Little Falls, passed away on April 9, 2009. She was born in Little Falls in January of 1919, daughter of the late Maryan and Rose Zilkowski. In November of 1940, she married Alfonso Levonski who passed away in September of 2001. She worked for many years at the Daniel Green Company, Dolgeville and retired after working at Salada Tea Company, Little Falls. In retirement, she enjoyed reading, knitting gifts for friends and traveling to visit family. Most of all, she loved her family and they will all miss her loving kindness and laughter. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara DeAngelo and husband Nicholas of East Aurora; grandchildren: Mark Carey of Buffalo, Amy Carey Clear of Amherst, Rebecca Cary Rohan and husband Michael of Williamsville, and Michael Covuoto of Selkirk. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, her brother Walter Zilkowski and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her beloved daughter Carolyn (Levonski) Covuoto, her grandson Andrew Covuoto and brother, Zygmund Zilkowski. A memorial graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dolgeville on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements are under the direction of Harry Enea Jr., of the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 East Faville Avenue, Dolgeville.
