Obituary of John Mizerak

LITTLE FALLS-Mr. John Mizerak, III, 75 of Furnace Street, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2009 in Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford. He was born on May 16, 1933 in Cherry Valley son of the late John and Elizabeth (Osley) Mizerak and educated in Cherry Valley schools. He graduated from Aeronautical school as an Air Traffic Controller. On February 1, 1964 he was united in marriage with Jacqueline “Jackie” Gasper in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls, and recently celebrating 45 years of marriage. Mr. Mizerak proudly served his country during the Korean War with the US Air Force. He was last employed as an air traffic controller with Griffiss Air Force Base and was at one time employed with Oneida County Airport. He attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls. Survivors include his wife Jackie of Little Falls; two sons: David Mizerak of Little Falls and Derek Mizerak and wife Sandra of Ilion; a sister: Anna Paracka of Little Falls; a granddaughter: Alexia Mizerak; two in laws: Sheila Galbraith and husband Roger of Delaware and Starr Mizerak of Little Falls; many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother: William Mizerak. In keeping with Mr. Mizerak’s wishes services are private and will take place at the convenience of the family in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
