MOHAWK - Carol A. Myers, age 63, of 8 Youngs Ave., Mohawk, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. She was born on March 11, 1945, in Endicott, N.Y., the daughter of Kenneth and Pearl (Morcum) Allen and was a graduate of Ilion High School. On July 23, 1966, she was married to Fred H. Myers in Richfield Springs, N.Y. Carol was employed as a rural carrier for Steffen Publishing Co., Holland Patent, N.Y. for 25 years. She was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband Fred; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and David Barton of Mohawk; two sons, Charles “Chuck” Myers of Mohawk, and Fred Myers Jr. and his fiancée Jennifer Humphrey of Herkimer; six grandchildren, Joseph, Robert, Gabrielle, Michael, Maeghan and Samantha; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth “Skip” Allen and his wife Charise of Utica; several nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia “Cindy” Myers. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Graves-Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 48 E. Main St., Mohawk, with Rev. Robert Wollaber, Pastor of the Ilion United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, from 4-6 p.m. prior to the funeral home service. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
