FORT PLAIN- Mrs. Helen W. Nolly, 93 entered into eternal rest on Sunday September 6, 2009 at Folts Home in Herkimer. Helen was born on June 25,1916 in Valley Brook, NY, daughter of the late Elmer and Iva (Frantzman) Wagner. She was a member of the Fort Plain High School graduating class of 1939. On July 24, 1937 she was united in marriage with Carl Holly. Their beloved union of 70 years lasted until his passing in December 2007.Helen worked at Life Savers in Canajoharie , a dress factory in Canajoharie and also at Luxary in Fort Plain for over 25 years. She was an avid reader at the Fort Plain Library. She was a charter member of the Fort Plain VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Helen was a devoted grandmother to all her grandchildren. Survivors include her two sons: Richard Nolly and his wife Constance of Fort Plain and Robert Nolly and his wife Diera of Germantown, Tennessee; her 4 grandchildren Paul Nolly of Fort Plain, Shelby Nolly Payne and her husband Rob of Tennessee, Kirby Nolly of Tennessee and Kendall Nolly of Tennesse; her sister in law Virginia Nolly of Fort Plain and her nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Saint Johnsville, NY on Thursday September 10, 2009 from 7-9pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James R.C. Church in Fort Plain at 10am on Friday September 11, 2009 with the Rev. John R. Roos officiating. The procession will follow to Fort Plain Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Carl. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Fort Plain Library, 19 Willet St. Fort Plain, NY 13339. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
