ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mrs Florence J. Hoffert Polinsky, 85, of St. Hwy 5, passed away at her residence on March 26, 2009. She was born on October 30, 1923 in Fish Creek, NY, daughter of the late Bernard and Josephine (Croniser) Hoffert. She moved to St. Johnsville in 1941 and on November 26, 1944 she was joined in marriage with Joseph J. Polinsky. Survivors include her daughters Joanne Sosville and her husband Marty of Malone, NY, Rosemary Hart and her husband James B. of St. Johnsville; grandsons Todd Hoffman and his wife Sherree of St. Johnsville, Daren Hoffman and his wife Sharon of Nichols, Paul Hoffman and his companion Ellen Allen of St. Johnsville; JR Hoffman and his fiancee Sonya of St. Johnsville; Jesse James R. Hart and his companion Amanda Stott of St. Johnsville; Jacob B. Hart and his companion Sunshine Edgar of St. Johnsville. She is also survived by her Great Grandchildren Joshua, Hailey, Meghan, Michael, Grace, Chloe and Joseph Hoffman; and her brother Harold Hoffert of Poland; and sister Barbara Snell of St. Johnsville and several nieces nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph J., her brothers Louis and Ambrose Hoffert and her sisters Veronica Dukett, Doris Schleicher, Marion Hoffert and Bernadine Haak. She was employed by the Felt Shoe in St. Johnsville for 42 years retiring in 1986. She was very interested in astrology and was treasurer of the NCGR Association. She was an active member of the Felt Shoe card players club. Her other interests included bowling, ceramics, doing jigsaw puzzles with her family and reading. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Johnsville Margaret Reaney Memorial library. The family will receive relatives and friends at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Johnsville from 11am-1pm on Saturday April 4,2009.A religious service will be held at 1pm with Sister Johanne McCarthy leading in prayer.Interment of cremains will follow at West St. Johnsville Cemetery.
