ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mrs. Theresa Roorda, 80 of Mosher Rd. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday August 5,2009 in Ellis Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 18, 1928 in Hallum Friesland, The Netherlands, daughter of the late Samuel and Grace (Huizinga) DeVries. On June 27, 1952, she was united in marriage with Garry Roorda and shared a blessed union of 57 years. Survivors include her beloved husband Garry; her 5 sons Peter and his wife Deborah of South Carolina, Samuel and his wife Debra of Herkimer, Garry A. of Johnstown, Roy and his wife Tammy of Herkimer, Ken and his wife Laurie of Little Falls; her beloved 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and her 2 brothers Henry and Peter DeVries, her sister Della Roorda and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three of her sisters. A graveside service for Theresa will held be on Friday August 7, 2009 at 1pm at West St. Johnsville Cemetery with Pastor Chris Wintermute officiating. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Saint Johnsville, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First Baptist Church of Little Falls, 555 Albany St. Little Falls, NY 13365.
