Mrs. Helen F. Salek 85 a resident of the Skilled Nursing Facility of Little Falls Hospital , formerly of 14 Spencer Street Dolgeville, died Friday afternoon February 13, 2008 at the hospital. She was born on October 30, 1923 in the Town of Manheim, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Fitzgerald) Hughes and was educated in Dolgeville schools. Her marriage to William C. Salek took place on November 4, 1944 in the Rectory of St. Josephs Church Dolgeville. Mr. Salek predeceased her on September 8, 2000. Helen was employed for 25 years by the Dolgeville Central School, working in the cafeteria. She retired from there in 1986. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church Dolgeville. She is survived by her Sons Randy Salek of Little Falls, and Larry Salek and his friend Dorinda Snyder of Dolgeville, a Sister Marian Piehler of Dolgeville, her Grandsons Raymond Salek of Rochester, John and Richard Salek both of Dolgeville, several Nieces and Nephews especially her niece Christine and her husband Donald Doubrava of Clearwater, Fl. Private prayer services will be held at the convenience of the family on Monday at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Burial will be in the spring in the Salisbury Rural cemetery. There are NO Calling Hours. Memorials may be sent to St. Joseph’s Church Memorial Fund in her name.
