Little Falls: Edwina Wyraz, 84, a former long-time Little Falls resident, passed away in the Masonic Care Community, Utica, on August 12, 2009. Edwina was born in Little Falls on January 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Walter and Martha (McCluskey) Wyraz. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Little Falls, and the Utica School of Commerce. Edwina had a long career assisting in the legal field; her last employment was as a Court Clerk for the Little Falls City Court. Prior to that, she worked for Bernard Malone, Esq. for more than ten years, and previous to that, George Fiesenger, Esq. for a number of years. Ms. Wyraz was a member of Holy Family Parish in Little Falls, and its Rosary Society. She held the positions of both secretary and president of the St. Mary’s Alumni Association for several years. She was also a secretary and past member of St. Mary’s School Board. Edwina is survived by her brother, Robert Wyraz, also of the Masonic Care Community, Utica; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Wyraz of Dolgeville; her aunt, Helen Frye and Helen’s daughter, Marcia Peach; a niece, Judith Zacek; nephew, Thomas Wyraz and his wife, Kathy; great nieces and nephews: Pamela Maring and her husband, Kerry, Thomas Wyraz, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, David Zacek, and Jacqueline Zacek. She was predeceased by her brothers, Walter Wyraz and his wife, Helen, and John Wyraz. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Edwina’s Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 11:00 am, followed by committal in St. Mary’s Cemetery, town of Herkimer.
