DOLGEVILLE/HERKIMER-Mrs. Arlene R. (Calderazzo) Adams, 70, of W. German St., Herkimer, a native of Dolgeville, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2008 in Faxton/St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford with the support of her family at her bedside. She was born on June 14, 1938 in Little Falls, daughter of the late James and Rose (Provenzano) Calderazzo and raised and educated in Dolgeville schools. She furthered her education attending St. John's University in Brooklyn and later the Fashion Institute of New York. Her marriage to Donald B. "Don" Adams, Jr., took place on October 21, 1967 in St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer. Arlene was last employed with the U.S. House of Representatives and was an active member with the Herkimer Garden Club. Survivors include her beloved family; her husband of 40 years: Don of Herkimer; her son: Donald J. Adams also of Herkimer; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother: Franklin Calderazzo. There are no public calling hours. Services will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008 at 11 am with the Rev. Mark Cunningham, pastor officiating. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider memorial offerings to the American Heart Association or the Herkimer Garden Club. The family offers their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, especially mentioning the Intensive Care Unit for the kindness and compassion offered during this difficult time.
