ILION - Barbara ?Bobbie? Ann Amerson, 64, of 214 E. Clark St., Ilion, N.Y., formerly of Garnersville, N.Y., died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Faxton-St. Luke?s Healthcare, New Hartford. She was born on July 21, 1943, in West Virginia, the daughter of Bea and Fred Riffe and graduated from Clear Fork High School. At one time she was married to Larry Amerson. Barbara was employed as a supervisor of the WSB at Letchworth Village Developmental Center, Thiells, N.Y., for 35 years, retiring in 1995. Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Murphy and husband Alfred of Montgomery, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Meghan, Jessica and Erin Murphy; her devoted niece, Remi Amerson of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; and close friends, Ann and Harold Lynch of Ilion. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 7, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, with the Rev. Robert Wollaber officiating. Calling hours are Friday 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
