Mrs. Assunta “Sue” Barron 78 of 4 Sullivan Street Dolgeville, died Monday July 28, 2008 in Little Falls Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Dolgeville on June 11, 1930 the daughter of the late John and Florence (Ciarelli) Manti and was a graduate of Dolgeville High school, class of 1948. She furthered her education by graduating from Geneseo State Teachers College with a BS in Library Science, and her Masters degree from Syracuse University in Library Science. Her marriage to Robert Barron took place in Dolgeville on June 27, 1953 in St. Joseph’s Church. Mr. Barron predeceased her in May of 1958. Sue was employed as a Librarian and as a Library Media Specialist for the Frankfort-Schuyler Central School for over 25 years, retiring from there in 1995. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Church Dolgeville, and her personal interest was in reading, cooking and gardening. Surviving is a son Jonathan Barron with whom she lived, a Special sister Miss Mary Manti of Dolgeville, her cousins Virginia Coroniti of Ilion and Robert Oliver of Frankfort. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday morning July 31, 2008 at 10 AM at St. Joseph’s Church on Helmer Avenue Dolgeville. The Rev. Thomas Vail will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at the Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo, New York. There are NO Calling Hours.
