Obituary of Joseph Campione

ST. JOHNSVILLE-Mr. Joseph F. Campione,86, of Crum Creek Rd., entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday September 12, 2008 at his home. He was born on January 17,1922 in Mindenville,son of the late Charles and Giovanni (Marchese) Campione. On April 25,1942 he was joined in marriage with Hazel Young. He was a self employed operator owner truck driver for over 43 years. He was an avid hunter; loved fishing and took tremendous pride in his gardening. Survivors include his beloved family; his sons James and his wife Carol of Mohawk; Joseph of St. Johnsville; Charles and his wife Katherine of St. Johnsville and Frederick and his wife Deanna of St. Johnsville; his daughter Linda Smith of St. Johnsville; his sister Lena Danna of St. Johnsville ; his 18 grandchildren: William Kucharski, Joseph Kucharski, Jamie Robarge, Robert Kucharski, Jason Campione, Lori Nelson, Shawn Christensen, Gregory Campione, Jennifer Young, Trevor Christensen, Shellie Williams, Shannon Campione, Matthew Campione, Amanda Mnally, Christopher Campione, Charles Campione, Hilary Campione and Brandon Campione and his 16 great grandchildren: Joseph Kucharski, Brandon Young, Zackary Young, Dustin Smith, Jacob Campione, Lyshon Mnally, Coltin Christensen, Elizabeth Campione, Ava Campione, Logan Robarge, Mikaila Robarge, Kayden Christensen and Madison Campione, Tyler Kucharski, Robbie Kucharski and Ryan Kucharski and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Hazel and his daughters Joanne Potter and Sheri Lynn Campione. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home (St. Johnsville) from 5-8pm on Tuesday September 16, 2008. Mr. Campione's funeral will commence at 10:30am on Wednesday September 17 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered by Sister Johanne McCarthy of St. Patrick's R.C. Church. Procession will follow to St. Johnsville Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest alongside his wife Hazel. Kindly consider memorial contributions to H.C. Smith Benefit Club or SAVAC.
