Obituary of Angelina Cuda

Mrs. Angelina Casale Cuda 97 a resident of the Skilled Nursing Facility of Little Falls Hospital and formerly of 9 Slawson Street Dolgeville, died Thursday , April 24, 2008 at the facility. At the time of her passing she had the support and Love of her family. She was born in Wellsville, Ohio on February 2, 1911 the daughter of Antonio and Francesca (Sacco) Casale and attended school in Herkimer. As a young girl she moved with her family to Italy, Province of Calabria, Town of Pianopoli. Upon returning to the United States she was married to Thomas J. ?Tommy? Cuda on June 28, 1930 in St. Anthony?s Church in Herkimer. Her husband predeceased her on March 16, 1987. Angie as she was known was a business women, having operated a beauty salon both in Dolgeville and Herkimer. Then along with her husband Tommy they operated ?Tommy?s Tavern? on Main Street in Dolgeville for over 20 years. Upon that retirement she then worked for the Billings family in Little Falls as a ?Nanny?. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph?s Church, a member of the Dolgeville Business Association, the former Adirondack Senior Citizens, serving as its? President and Treasure, and the Catholic Women?s Club and the Beautification Committee. Her personal interests were in knitting, crocheting, and especially entertaining family and friends with her cooking. She is survived by a son and his wife Attorney Francis and Doris Cuda of Little Falls, a Daughter and her husband Marion and Eric Petersen of Dolgeville a daughter in law Audrey Cuda of Scotia, her Grandchildren Thomas Cuda, Jennifer Cafarelli, Andre Cuda and Kirsten Petersen, her Great Grandchildren Nico and Gianna Cafarelli, and Nieces & Nephews. She was predeceased by a Son Anthony ?Tony? Cuda July 15, 1988 a Granddaughter Jessica Cuda in 1993 and her Brothers Edo, Peter ?Trip? and Thomas ?Babe? Casale and her Sisters Marianne Balcom and Assunta Wilson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 28, 2008 at 1PM in St. Josephs Church Helmer Avenue Dolgeville. Rev. Leo F. Potvin the pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Calling hours are on Sunday April 27th from 4-7 PM at the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville.
