Obituary of Vivienne Doubrava

Mrs. Vivienne M. Doubrava 83 a resident of the Folts Home in Herkimer and who spent the summers with her son and daughter in law Donald & Chris Doubrava at Kyser Lake, died Friday July 18, 2008. She was born on November 7, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of John and Clarice (Abraham) Kelley. Her marriage to Charles W. Doubrava took place on May 5, 1945, and he predeceased her on January 15, 1998. Vivienne was a self employed caterer for many years on Long Island and in Valley Stream, New York. While residing Valley Stream she was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and its Altar Guild, and a member of the Hewlett Point Boat Club. While spending summers here at Kyser Lake she became a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Little Falls. Because of her background in catering she would entertain her family and friends at her summer residence at the lake. Her family and her friends were most important to her. She is survived by her son and his wife Donald and Chris Doubrava of Dolgeville and Florida, her Grandsons John Doubrava and his fiancée’ Maria Lorello of Albany, and her grandson Matt Doubrava also of Albany. A Church Memorial service will be held for the family on Thursday July 24, 2008 at 11 AM at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Little Falls. The Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia will officiate.
