Obituary of Samuel Dudik

LITTLE FALLS-Mr. Samuel Dudik, 94, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Little Falls Hospital following an extended illness. He was born on July 28, 1913 in Little Falls, the son of the late Michael and Anna (Ulerich) Dudik and educated in Little Falls schools. His marriage to Jennie A. Tomei took place in 1938 in St. Mary?s Parish House, Little Falls; a devoted union of over 60 years until the passing of Mrs. Dudik on April 27, 2000. For over 20 years, Mr. Dudik was employed with General Electric, Utica and was formerly employed by many former Little Falls factories. In his spare time, he enjoyed visiting with friends at the Little Falls German Mannerchoir and Dopps Inn, Dolgeville and fishing and hunting. He attended the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls. He leaves two daughters: Joanne Blankenship of Jacksonville, Fl., and Sandra Hart and husband Richard of Marcellus; a brother: John Dudik and wife Laverne of Dolgeville; four sisters: Mary Talaba and husband Paul of Little Falls, Dorothy Frederick of Myrtle Beach, Christine Costello of Little Falls, and Mildred Dudik of Herkimer; his grandchildren: Christopher and Cathy Ward, David and Elva Blankenship, Candy and Dan Ballard, Karen and Ricardo Contreras, Brian and Karen Hart; nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Michael Dudik and wife Judy, Susan Dudik Sadlon and husband John, Elizabeth Dudik Ashe and husband Francis, Katherine Dudik Frank and husband John, and by his sister: Margaret. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial service which will commence at 1 p.m on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from the chapel of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m until the time of the service. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary?s Cemetery, town of Herkimer.
