Obituary of Ava Harrison

Ava Harrison, 95, a life long St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Wednesday April 16, 2008 at her home. She was born December 20, 1912 in the Town of St. Johnsville, the daughter of the late Everett and Nellie (Gilbert) Flanders and was educated in Youkersbush School. Her marriage to Cornelius (Nealy) Harrison took place on June 6, 1931. Mr. Harrison passed away in 1989. Mrs. Harrison was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include two daughters, Joan Oeser and husband Henry of St. Johnsville and Barbara Christman and husband Clarence of Fort Plain, 4 grandchildren; Wendy Rhein and husband Jim of Westborough, MA, Jill Snell and husband Kevin of Inghams Mills, Warren Christman and wife Cindy of Fort Plain, and Neal Oeser and wife Rayna of Fort Plain, 14 great grandchildren, and two great great grandsons, three nephews, Thomas, John and Alvin Flanders and several cousins. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Alvin & Everett Flanders. Memorial service will be held on Saturday April 26, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. John?s Reformed Church in St. Johnsville. Burial will follow at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY. Arrangements are by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY. All memorial contributions may be made to S.AV.A.C.
