Mark A. Hearn, 54, of Little Falls, passed away on Monday March 24, 2008 at St. Luke?s Hospital, New Hartford, NY, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 12, 1954 in Amsterdam, NY the son of John & Elsie (Hulse) Hearn. Mark was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, class of 1972 and also graduated from Fulton Montgomery Community College. Mark was employed with the New York State Department of Transportation as a Bridge Maintenance Supervisor. Mr. Hearn was a member of the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Little Falls and also the Fort Plain Elks and the Little Falls Girl Scouts Council. Mark was a devoted family man and enjoyed all types of sports. In his leisure he was an avid golfer. Survivors include his mother, Elsie Hearn of Fort Plain, his wife Cynthia Hearn of Little Falls, a daughter, Kaitlyn Hearn of Little Falls, a brother, John Hearn of Fort Plain, a sister, Linda Hearn of Chandler, Arizona, five nieces and nephews, Andrew Mucica, Katie Bronson, Stephanie Bronson, Matthew Hearn and Kelly Eckler, his mother-in-law, Constance Begley of Little Falls, and in-laws, Glenn Mucica and wife Gwendolyn of Little Falls, Elaine Bronson and husband Timothy of Davie, Florida and Mary Beth Mucica of Pittsford, NY. He was pre-deceased by his father, John Hearn and his father-in-law, George Mucica. Memorial services will be held on Saturday March 29, 2008 at 11:00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY. In keeping with Mark?s wishes there are no public calling hours. Spring interment at Fort Plain Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of the family. All memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one?s choice.
