FRANKFORT-Mrs. Evelyn C. (Vaniglia) Heinig, age 61, a longtime resident of 1st Avenue, Frankfort entered into eternal rest early Monday morning, December 22, 2008 unexpectedly in her home. She was born on June 8, 1947 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Orlando “Landy” and Geraldine “Gilda” (Pileggi) Vaniglia and graduated with the Dolgeville High School, class of 1966. She had resided in Frankfort for over 40 years. On November 11, 1967 she was joined in marriage with John Heinig in Dolgeville, enjoying a marriage of 41 years. Mrs. Heinig considered taking care of her home her job and also her foremost priority in life. At one time she was employed with the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls. She was a member of the Frankfort American Legion Auxilliary Post #840. As a hobby, she collected salt and pepper shakers and also various other knick knacks. Survivors include her beloved family; her husband John of Frankfort; a son: James Heinig also of Frankfort; a daughter: Melissa Rogers and husband Rick of Ilion; a brother: Robert Vaniglia and wife Allison of Ballston Lake; her grandchildren: Rick and Joshua Rogers; an uncle: Frank Candella and Aunt Rose Mary Candella; an uncle: August Tassa; many nieces, nephews and cousins and a sister in law and brother in law: Cecilia and Anthony Cardillo; her mother in law: Josephine Lombardo Heinig. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an aunt: Mayme V. Tassa on September 11, 2008. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Enea Family Funeral Home of Frankfort, 4309 Acme Rd., (894-8000) on Saturday, December 27, 2008 from 3-5 p.m. and also invited to attend her funeral service commencing at the conclusion of calling hours at the funeral home (5:00 p.m.). Interment will take place privately.
