Obituary of Joseph Kenyon

Joseph C. Kenyon, Sr., 71, of Hellenack Road, Mohawk, (Town of German Flatts) passed away unexpectedly on Thursday May 22, 2008. He was born July 10, 1936 in Frankfort, NY the son of the late Charles J. and Jennie (Myrda) Kenyon and was a graduate of Mohawk High School, class of 1955. His marriage to Susan Dziedzic took place on November 30, 1957 at holy Trinity Catholic Church in Utica. Joe, along with his family owned and operated the Kenyon Family Farm in the Town of German Flatts. Mr. Kenyon practiced the Christian faith. Joe was a long standing member of the National Farm Organization, Tryon County Muzzle Loaders Association and the NRA. He was a former member of the Farm Bureau, former Herkimer Elks Lodge member, a member of the former JC, and a former board member of the ASC. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Susan, his children, Charlotte Kenyon and fianc?e James Miccioli of Richfield Springs, Joseph C. Kenyon, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Mohawk, Matthew Kenyon of Mohawk, and Mark Kenyon and fianc?e Trish Guyer of Mohawk, his grandchildren, Alisha, Michele and Greg Godlewski, Mitchel Jones, Elisa West and husband Jeremy, Jill Miner and husband Phil, Matt and Brittany Kenyon and Charles and Emily Kenyon, five great grandchildren, Katie and Monty West, and Jon, Ayden and Logan Miner, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 27, 2008 at 4:00 pm from the Graves ? Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 48 E. Main St., Mohawk, NY with the Reverend Dr. Richard Waite, pastor of the People?s Undenominational Church of Cedarville, officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday May 27, 2008 from 1:00 pm until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to the People?s Undenominational Church of Cedarville, Building Fund, 131 Cedarville Road, Ilion, NY 13357 or to a charity of one?s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
