ILION-Mrs. Mary “Susan” Malowski, age 67, of 214 Ray Street South, Ilion, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2008. She was born on September 7th 1940 in Herkimer, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Robinson) Fullem. She was educated in Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School in 1958. She also was a graduate of Utica City Business Institute. Mary, on August 29th 1958, joined in marriage with Robert J. Malowski at St. Francis de Sales Church in Herkimer. Mary and Robert happily shared almost 43 years of marriage, until his passing on July 1st 2002. Mary was employed for almost 15 years with Hummel’s Office Plus. Mary was a communicant of Annunciation Church in Ilion. Her best times were spent RVing with her loving husband and friends. Mary is survived by her loving children: Paul Malowski of Morrisville, VT; Mark Malowski and wife Gina of Plano, TX; Wendy Malowski-Griffith and husband Terry of Rockwall, TX; and Mary Jo Malowski-Hill and husband Robert of Tampa, FL; her cherished grandchildren: Logan Malowski; Marisa, Alaina, and Brienna Griffith; Kayla Malowski; and Daniel and Nicole Byrne; her sister and brother-in-law: Elizabeth and Kevin Hayes; her brother-in-law: Frank Malowski; and many nieces, nephews, cousins,and friends. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Reverend Anthony Barratt, assisted by Deacon James Bower, at Annunciation Church in Ilion, on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery in Herkimer, where she be laid to rest next to her loving husband, Bob. Memorial donations in Mary’s honor may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
