Herkimer ? Mr. William D. McAnally, 76, of 314 William Street, Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, June 24, 2008, in the comfort of his home. He was born in Hammon, OK on March 12, 1931, son of the late John H. and Littie (Beene) McAnally and was a Compton, California High School graduate. William proudly served and was honorably discharged from the United States Army and was last employed as a crane operator at Guy F. Atkinson Construction in Kansas. In his spare time, William enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially loved to drive around in his truck, "Big Red". William was very close to and enjoyed spending time with his dogs: Hanna, Bebe, Mini Me, and Jack. Survivors include his daughter: Theresa Buckman, of California; a sister-in-law: Marian McAnally; A few very close friends: Ronald Kelly, Dana Kelly, Dave Kelly, and Edith Treen, all of Herkimer. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. William is predeceased by his parents, his son, Rick McAnally; and his brother, John W. McAnally. In keeping with William's wishes, cremation has taken place under the guidance of the Enea Family Funeral Home. Services are private and there are no calling hours.
