Mrs. Janet Alyce Mureness 62 of Apt 11 Old Meadow Road St. Johnsville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday November 25th, 2008 at her residence of natural causes. She was born on February 13, 1946 in the Town of Palatine, the daughter of the late Charles and Leta (Johnson) Gallt and was educated in St. Johnsville Schools. Janet was employed by the former Little Falls Footwear Company prior to its’ closing. It was evident to all her knew her that her family always came first, whether it was baby sitting for her grandchildren or helping her children in anyway that she could. Besides her family she enjoyed collecting “Teddy Bears”. She is survived by her Children; A Son Corbett Mureness of South Carolina, her daughters Tammy and her husband Matt Capano of Gloversville, Amy Wintermute and her companion Shane Chamberlin of Mayfield, Tanya Wintermute of St. Johnsville, Her Brothers Charles Gallt of Lassesville, Barry Gallt of Mindenville, Wayne Gallt of Oppenheim, her Sisters Joan Nagle of Ft. Plain, Carolyn Hulbert of Mindenville, and Gale Polidori of St. Johnsville, Eight Grandchildren and one Great Granddaughter, several Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by a Brother Lester in 1998. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 29th, 2008 at 11 AM at the Enea Family Funeral Home 9 Center Street St. Johnsville. Hans Drews of St. Johnsville will officiate. Burial will follow in Freysbush Cemetery. Calling hours are on Saturday morning from 10AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. Janet may be remembered by a donation to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
