Obituary of Anna Rego

WASHINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA/ST. JOHNSVILLE-Mrs. Anna A. Rego, age 70, a resident of 603 Brown St., Washington, N.C., died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in St. Johnsville. Mrs. Rego was born in Queens on January 26, 1938, to the late Anthony and Agnes Redes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Daniel C. Beresheim, and later married John Rego who also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a retired employee of the New York State Thruway Authority, she owned several businesses, volunteered to several community action programs and was an active member of Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Frank Beresheim of Saugerties; her daughter, Chrislyn Beresheim of Washington, N.C.; her sister, Rose Thompson of Largo, Fla.; her grandchildren, Daniel and Eric Beresheim of Saugerties, Blake Beresheim of Washington, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rego was also preceded in death by her sister, Rachel Ruvo. Flowers are welcome and appreciated or the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Local arrangements are by Enea Family Funeral Home, St. Johnsville.
