Obituary of James Alexander

SYRACUSE-Mr. James M. "Jim" Alexander, 57, of Miles Ave., Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2007, in his home. There are no public calling hours. Funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, (866-1011). Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer. Kindly consider memorial offerings to the East Herkimer Volunteer Fire Department, or to the Frank Basloe Library of Herkimer; envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jim was born on November 28, 1949, in Little Falls, son of the late Leo M. Alexander and Mary C. (Bielejec) Alexander of Herkimer and was honorably discharged after serving with the United States Army. He graduated from Herkimer High School, class of 1967, and attended Syracuse University. He then graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz and was last employed as a psychiatric nurse with University Hospital, Syracuse. Survivors include his beloved family; his mother: Mary Alexander of Herkimer; three sons: Robb, Alex and Aaron Alexander of Syracuse; a brother: John R. Alexander and wife Dianne of Elmira; an aunt: Sadie Alexander of Herkimer; nieces: Carrie Robie and husband Peter and Christin Hamilton and husband Jamie. Also surviving are many cousins. His father Leo passed away on April 8, 1996.
