Delores J. (Peet) Austin, 70, a former Dolgeville resident, passed away on Wednesday August 15, 2007 at the Van Allen Nursing Home, Little Falls, NY. She was born March 7, 1937 in Edmeston, NY the daughter of the late Lester & Anna (Arndt) Peet and was educated in Little Falls schools. Delores was last employed at the former Little Frocks in Little Falls. Mrs. Austin was of the Methodist faith. In her leisure she enjoyed sewing. Survivors include her sons, John H. Austin, Jr. and long time companion Ruth Laventure of Little Falls, Raymond E. Austin and wife Vicky of Dolgeville, her daughters, Donna Jean Lamanna of Herkimer, Anna Bilger and husband Raymond Bilger, Jr., of Salisbury Center, NY, three brothers, William Peet and wife Bernadette of St. Johnsville, Charles Peet and wife Barb of Sprakers, and Harold Peet of Little Falls, five sisters, Irene Congdon and husband Robert of Little Falls, Sarah Morse and Eva Peet both of Dolgeville, Rosette Austin of Schuyler and Katherine Balderston and husband Bruce of Albany, 12 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins, and a sister-in-law, Margaret Farquhar and husband Gary of Salisbury Corners. She was pre-deceased by a son James Paul Austin in 1972. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 18, 2007 at 1:00 pm from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY with Reverend Rodney Congdon, officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Curtis Cemetery, Salisbury.
