John C. ?Jack? Blair, 72, of Esperance, NY and formerly of St. Johnsville passed away on Thursday July 5, 2007 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home. He was born May 30, 1935 in New York City the son of the late John L. & Cecelia (Brennan) Blair and was a graduate of St. Ignatious Loyda High School. His marriage to Mary Heneghan took place in 1957 at the Good Shepard Church in New York City. Mr. Blair was a Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict. Jack was a Merchant Marine for many years. At one time he was a bus driver for New York City and Albany. He was a member of St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville and the Fort Plain American Legion. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary, his children, John P. Blair and wife Barbara of Punta Gorda, Florida, Patrick G. Blair and wife Sherry of Canajoharie, Mary Damin and husband Glen of St. Johnsville, James Blair of Charleston, NY, Michael Blair and Nancy Burke of Oneonta, Anne Biittig and husband Michael of West Sand Lake, Daniel Blair and wife Rachel of Amarillo, Texas, Patricia Christensen and husband Svend of St. Johnsville, Kevin Blair and wife Jennifer of St. Johnsville, and Brendan Blair and wife Heather of Brewerton, NY, a sister, JoAnne Zaroba of Long Island, 21 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews & cousins. He was pre-deceased by three sisters, Sheila Blair, Kathleen Blair, & Mary Blair. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 9, 2007 at 9:00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville and at 9:30 am from St. Patrick?s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday July 8, 2007 from 5-8 pm.
